About

I’m Sungjun Eom, a graduate student at the University of Seoul, pusuing M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Before starting M.S., I got a double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Statistics.

Currently, I am contributing to the advancement of the differential dynamic programming algorithm at the Control and Dynamic Systems Lab. I have also gained experience in deep learning and speaker verification through previous research internships. Additionally, my military service in the Republic of Korea Air Force enhanced my leadership and technical skills, particularly in managing secure wide-area communication systems.

I’m particularly interested in differential dynamic programming and sampling-based model predictive control for optimal control, and semi-parametric estimation for statistics. In the future, I hope to contribute to deep learning theory from a system-theoretic perspective. Also, I want to reduce the gap between the computerized world and the real physical world we are living in.
